Search Chunks
The Search page shows you the individual text units — called chunks — that your agent actually retrieves when answering questions. Chunks are extracted automatically during document processing, or you can create them manually for content that does not come from an uploaded file.
Navigate to Resources → Search in the left sidebar.
What Are Chunks?
When a document, video transcript, or web page is processed, it is split into smaller sections of text. Each section becomes a chunk. When a user asks a question, the agent searches across all chunks and retrieves the most relevant ones to construct its answer.
Viewing the Search page is the most direct way to understand what knowledge your agent has — and to diagnose why it is not finding something.

Creating a Manual Chunk
Click New Chunk to open the chunk creation form. You can enter the text content, assign a title and metadata, and save it as a standalone knowledge unit. Manual chunks are useful for:
- Adding short factual statements that are not in any document
- Overriding or supplementing auto-generated chunks
- Testing specific answer content without re-processing a full document
Searching and Filtering
The filter panel is always visible on this page — no toggle is required. Available filters:

Click Apply to run the filter. Click Reset to clear all filters and show the full list.
Sorting
Use the Sort By and Sort Direction controls in the top-right to order the list. The default sort is by Type in ascending order, which groups manual chunks together.
