Subscription Plans

A subscription is the set-and-forget way to keep your agents running. Instead of buying credits one purchase at a time, a subscription grants a fixed number of credits every billing cycle, automatically. This page explains the plans, how to subscribe, and how to change or cancel later.

If you only need credits occasionally, a one-time top-up may suit you better β€” see Buying Credits.

What a subscription does

When you subscribe to a plan, Qlar tops your balance up with a set number of credits on each renewal β€” every month or every year, depending on the interval you choose. You do not have to remember to buy anything; the credits simply arrive and your agents keep working.

You manage subscriptions from the My Credit page:

  1. Open My Credit and go to the Overview tab.
  2. Find the plans under Subscription Plans, or click Explore Plans on the Subscription Status card.

Monthly vs Annual

Every plan has a billing interval toggle: Monthly or Annual.

IntervalBilledBest for
MonthlyOnce a monthTrying a plan or short-term needs β€” easy to change month to month.
AnnualOnce a yearSteady, ongoing usage β€” delivers more credits per month / saves a percentage compared to paying monthly.

Tip: If you already know you'll use Qlar all year, Annual is the cheaper choice per credit. You can start Monthly to be sure, then switch to Annual later.

The plans

PlanWhat it's forPricing
StarterIndividuals and small teams getting started β€” a modest, predictable monthly credit allowance.Shown as "USD X/month" with credits per cycle and a Get Starter Plan button.
Pro (Popular)Growing teams with regular usage β€” a larger credit allowance and the most common choice.Shown as "USD X/month" with credits per cycle and a Get Pro Plan button.
Enterprise (Custom Pricing)Large organizations with high volume or special requirements. No fixed price β€” click Contact Us to reach hello@qlar.ai and discuss a custom plan.

Each non-enterprise plan card shows the price, the number of credits granted per cycle, and a Get [Plan] Plan button to subscribe.

How to subscribe

  1. On My Credit β†’ Overview β†’ Subscription Plans, pick Monthly or Annual.
  2. Choose the plan you want and click its Get [Plan] Plan button (for example Get Pro Plan).
  3. You are taken to the payment provider to complete the first payment.
  4. Once payment succeeds, the Subscription Status card updates to show your active plan.

The Subscription Status card shows your plan name, a status badge, and the renewal date:

BadgeMeaning
ActiveThe subscription is running normally and will renew on the date shown ("Renews on …").
CancelingYou cancelled, but you keep access until the period end.
Payment FailedThe latest renewal payment did not go through β€” update your payment method to restore it.

Changing your plan

You can move between plans at any time from the Subscription Status card using the Switch to [Plan] button. How it takes effect depends on the direction:

  • Upgrade (to a bigger plan) β€” takes effect immediately, and the cost is prorated so you only pay the difference for the remaining time.
  • Downgrade (to a smaller plan) β€” scheduled for your next renewal, so you keep your current credits until then. The card shows "Changing to [plan] at next renewal", with a Cancel Scheduled Switch option if you change your mind.

Cancelling and reactivating

  • Cancel Plan β€” stops the next renewal but keeps your access until the current period ends. The card shows "Your subscription is ending on [date]" and the badge becomes Canceling.
  • Undo Cancellation β€” if you change your mind before the period ends, click this to reactivate; the subscription returns to Active and renews as normal.

To handle payment details, past invoices, or anything the provider manages directly, click Manage Subscription / Open Billing Portal to open the payment provider's portal.

Tip: Many teams use both β€” a subscription to cover the steady baseline, plus the occasional top-up when a busy month pushes them over their plan's allowance.

Worked example

Worked example β€” start Pro Monthly, switch to Annual later

  1. You subscribe to Pro on the Monthly interval and pay the monthly price. The Subscription Status card shows Pro, Active, and "Renews on" next month.
  2. After two months you're confident Qlar is part of your workflow. You open Subscription Plans, toggle to Annual, and choose Pro again.
  3. Because Annual gives more credits per month for the same plan, this is treated as an upgrade in value β€” the change applies and your billing moves to a once-a-year cycle, saving a percentage versus paying monthly all year.
