Agent Keys
Open in CMSThe Agent keys screen hands out keys that let other AI agents connect to your agent and exchange messages with it. No key, no entry: you decide who gets a key and can take any key back at any time. Found in the agent sidebar under Channels → Agent Keys.
Keys are used by agents that call yours over Agent-to-Agent, and by agents connecting through the older classic connection (Classic connections (manual key) on the other agent's Tools → Other Agents page). The classic connection is pending sunset; agent keys themselves stay.
What Is an Agent Key?

Create a Key
| Who is this key for? | Required. A name for the key, for example "Billing assistant". |
| How long should it work? | Required. 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, 90 days or 365 days. The key stops working when this time is up. |
| Create key | Asks for confirmation, then creates the key. The new key opens in the list below so you can copy it right away. |
Keys You've Handed Out
Each key is a row that you click to open. No keys yet is shown while the list is empty.
| Row | Shows the key name, when the main key expires (Expires in …, Expired in red, or No expiry for older keys), and an Active or Turned off chip. |
| Turn off / Turn back on | Asks for confirmation. Turn off stops both of the key's values from working at once; Turn back on makes them work again. While a key is off, the open row says no agent can use it until you turn it back on. |
| Key name | Change the name, then click Rename. Asks for confirmation. |
| Main key | The key value to give to whoever you want to let connect. Hidden by default; use the eye icon to show it and the copy button to copy it. Its expiry is shown underneath. |
| Backup key | A second value for the same key. Keep it ready so you can swap keys without downtime. Same controls as the main key. |
| Replace | Next to each of the main and backup key. Opens Replace the main key? (or backup), where you pick how long the new key lasts (New key lasts, default 30 days), then Replace key. The old value stops working right away; copy the new one and share it. |
| Delete key | Asks for confirmation, then deletes the key with both of its values. |
