Permissions
Open in CMSThe Agent Permissions screen holds the list of permission codes for your agent. A code restricts content access: only users who hold that code can get answers from content tagged with it. Found in the agent sidebar under Users → Permissions.
Permission Codes
| Add New Permission | Adds an empty row where you type a new code (for example FINANCE or HRD). |
| Permission code row | One code per row. A row cannot be left empty when you save. |
| Delete (bin icon) | Removes that code from the list. |
| No Permissions Set | Shown when the list is empty: no content is restricted. |
| Save | Asks you to confirm, then saves the list. Saved changes go to the agent's draft; publish the agent to make them live for users. |
Where the Codes Are Used
| On content | The Permissions field of a document, website or video lets you pick one or more codes from this list. |
| On members | When you add a member or edit a member under Users → Members, you pick which codes that member holds. |
| Retrieval rule | Content with no code is available to everyone. Content with codes is used only for users who hold at least one of its codes. |
