Budget Groups
A budget group is a way to give a set of members their own monthly credit limit. It stops one team from accidentally using up all the organization's credit, and it lets you see usage per team.
Who can manage budget groups? Only Owner and Admin.
Why use budget groups?
Imagine your organization shares one pool of credit. Without limits, the marketing team could spend everything before support gets a turn. Budget groups solve this:
- Put the support team in one group with a monthly limit.
- Put the marketing team in another.
- Each group spends only up to its own cap, and you can watch usage per member.
What a budget group contains

Step 1 β Open the Budget Groups tab
Open the Organization page β click your organization β Budget Groups tab.
Step 2 β Create a budget group
- Click Create Budget Group.
- Fill in Group Name (required), and optionally Monthly Member Limit and Builder Limit.
- Click Create.
The new group appears in the list showing its name, monthly limit (or "No limit"), and member count.
Step 3 β Assign members to the group
- Click a budget group, then Manage Members.
- Search and tick the members to add.
- Save.
Each assigned member is now capped by this group's monthly limit. To remove someone, unassign them from the group β they fall back to the organization default.
A member can also be assigned to a budget group directly from the Members tab β see Members & Invitations.
Editing and deleting
- Edit: change the name or limits at any time.
- Delete: removes the group. Members in it are no longer capped by it.
Worked example
Goal: Dina wants the support team capped at 50,000 credits each per month.
- On the Budget Groups tab she clicks Create Budget Group.
- Group Name =
Support Team, Monthly Member Limit =50000.- She clicks Create, opens the group, clicks Manage Members, and adds her two support agents.
- Each support agent can now use up to 50,000 credits/month; the marketing team's budget is untouched.
